SYC Pride Fire

SYC Pride Fire is a rising U18 travel soccer team playing in the Washington Area Girls Soccer League (WAGS). Fire represents the Springfield-South County Youth Club (SYC) in Springfield, VA. The team is professionally coached by Tom Holland, Regional Manager for UK Elite Soccer.

Coach Tom has trained and coached several teams in VA and MD. Several of his players have committed to play in college. He has also been a volunteer coach for George Mason University.

Coach Tom's coaching philosophy includes creating activities that allow players to discover the beautiful game. Fun and enjoyment allows players to stay interested and committed. He is a believer of guided discovery learning and allowing players to see successes for themselves.

SYC Pride Fire is a group of top athletes focused on competing on the soccer pitch, not only for the opportunity to win, but also for the sheer joy of playing quality, attractive soccer together.
